Tips/Advice to jumpstart a career in nanotechnology
It's like any other business. You try to understand what the market is and what the opportunities are. If you're in the field of science, you need to understand the science associated with it. If you're not, if you're in a marketing or commercial realm, or a consumer type of business, then you focus more on finding marketing opportunities for a finished product.

Why did you choose the field of nanotechnology?
It's the future.

How did you first get into nanotechnology?
It's really a progression. Nanotechnology overlaps into a number of industries and technologies. It's been shades of gray where concept of molecular manufacturing started to intrude upon the semiconductor industry and defense industry as well as the chemical, biochemical and medical industries. We were already engaged in those market places; you start to see technology invade or pervade those industries or markets.

Exciting – there is always something new to learn.
