Tips/Advice to jumpstart
a career in nanotechnology
I would definitely recommend starting out with
at least an Engineering degree. Then later begin
focusing on whatever area of nanotechnology appeals
to you. Currently a lot of engineering schools
already teach a little bit about nanotechnology.
If it is on the technical level, like a two-year
college, then the best thing would be to get into
an area where they would specialize in equipment
like electro-microscopes, and things like that,
so you can become an expert in specialized equipment.
Why did you choose
the field of nanotechnology?
It was very appealing as an emerging technology.
How did you first
get into nanotechnology?
When I started my masters degree.
What is it like
to work in nanotechnology?
It's a great experience. You really get to learn
and think about things, and become quite creative.
